Aldo Zilli, Executive Consultant Chef for the San Carlo Restaurant Group which includes Fumo and San Carlo Cicchetti has received the most expensive delivery of white truffles in the UK.
The restaurant group invested £60k on the indulgent ingredient for Truffle Week. Truffle experts, Truffle Paradise who supply the country’s leading chefs and restaurants confirmed it was their biggest delivery in the country this year.
The San Carlo Restaurant Group, which has restaurants throughout the UK, will be serving a selection of truffle dishes from now until it runs out.
Recommended dishes include: Pumpkin parmesan and white truffle risotto, Fettuccine with butter and white truffle, Cheese ravioli with truffle cream, Chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms and prosciutto topped with white truffle.
