Get the look: James Bond cashmere

Daniel Craig returns to the big screen this month to play James Bond in Spectre. Bond wears his now signature cashmere sweaters and turtlenecks throughout the film, which we can exclusively reveal are from from N.Peal, an English heritage brand loved by many celebrities including the Duchess of Cambridge.

On the official release poster for Spectre, Craig wears the N.Peal Mock Turtleneck crafted from a blend of 70% cashmere and 30% silk worsted yarn.

A British brand befitting of Bond, businessman Nat Peal opened his first shop in 1936 In London’s Burlington Arcade. When war broke out three years later, Peal found himself stationed on the Shetland Isles where he would supply sweaters to his shop directly. Providing products of this quality during ration time meant the N.Peal name became highly in demand.

In the Fifties Nat Peal made annual visits to New York and Boston. Celebrities loved his designs and soon he was dressing Ava Gardner, Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant and Jackie Kennedy.

It will be the second time Daniel Craig wears N.Peal cashmere, the first time in 2012 during Skyfall which saw him wear N. Peal Round Neck Cashmere sweater in Blue Wave famously worn in the final action sequences.
