Sarah Burton has created a summer collection for Alexander McQueen which caused exactly that, and one which can only be described as pure fantasy.


Blending sumptuous and embellished leather with light and frilly chiffon, embroidered satin, chain hardware and denim – there were many trends which all came together effortlessly with a truly outstanding result.


Sarah was inspired by the 17th-century Huguenot Protestant faith followers that arrived in London fleeing religious persecution in France, creating a collection which blends both French romanticism and British influences.
