Investec Derby

An event like no other, on 1 June, the heart-pounding action of the Investec Derby is the ideal way to ring in the summer. Alongside the racing, expect to find a whole host of entertainment, from skydivers to celebrity DJs, after parties and stunning displays of fashion, as well as world-class chefs and restaurants serving up delights throughout the high-octane day.

Wimbledon

One of the world’s most celebrated tennis events, from 1-14 July over 500,000 spectators will gather on the grassy green South London lawns. The only Grand Slam event on the circuit held on grass, it is also one of the most illustrious social events of the season. And that’s far from the only impressive fact about the English tournament, it’s also the oldest tennis competition in the world, having started in 1877.

Henley Royal Regatta

Undoubtedly the best-known regatta in the world, Henley is a highlight of both the summer sporting calendar and the social season. Established in 1839, this year the race takes place on the River Thames from 3 to 7 July. Each year, the regatta attracts thousands of spectators to cheer on the jubilant 200 races, all of an international standard and many attracting both Olympic rowers and crew. 

Cartier Queen’s Cup Final

The Queen’s Cup has been played at Guards Polo Club under the patronage of HM The Queen since 1945. One of the top five polo tournaments in the world, it attracts the biggest names in the game and this year takes place on 16 June. The iconic players of the past include Eduado Moore, Carlos Gracida, Adolfo Cambiaso and Facundo Pieres. It is also a prime event for star gazing, celebrities who have attended in the past include, HRH Prince Harry, Joan Collins, Tinie Tempah, James Blunt, Emma Watson and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
