La Résidence de la Pinède, as it was known when it opened in 1936, was an elegant and uncomplicated Maison by the sea, a short distance from the centre of Saint-Tropez. Recently acquired by luxury conglomerate LVMH, it reopened in 2019 refreshed and revamped as  Cheval Blanc St-Tropez.

Airy as the sea breeze and light as a Tropezian morning, all-new interiors by Jean-Michel Wilmotte intended to revive the coastal town’s mid-century appeal. Lulled by songs of the sea, rooms bathed in brilliant whites boasting large fluffy pillows inspire tranquillity. Hypnotised by the golden rays of the sun, guests can drink in the emerald sea from private balconies that overlook the Mediterranean. With three Michelin stars, five toques and a 19/20 rating by Gault & Millau, Chef Arnaud Donckele’s restaurant La Vague d’Or is considered one of the best restaurants in France, making it a strong contender for one of the best in the world. The cuisine is a rustic journey through the flavours of Provence, celebrating the deeply rooted traditions of the region. Each plate is introduced with an exceptional vintage or a treasure of the local terroir for an exalted journey through senses.
