Ibiza 2016: Closing Parties

It’s with much regret we must inform you that summer is coming to a close. No novel has better captured the essence of August quite like American tome Tuck Everlasting:

“The first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning. The weeks that come before are only a climb from balmy spring, and those that follow a drop to the chill of autumn, but the first week of August is motionless, and hot. It is curiously silent, too, with blank white dawns and glaring noons, and sunsets smeared with too much color. Often at night there is lightning, but it quivers all alone. There is no thunder, no relieving rain. These are strange and breathless days, the dog days, when people are led to do things they are sure to be sorry for after.”

Nostalgic for the heady days of June and early July, it’s high time to go out and celebrate the waning days of the season. Ibiza is the perfect place to do so. Avicii Closing Party at Ushuaia (August 28)

One of the biggest names in clubbing, Avicii and his stable of talented peers take on this outdoor arena. This is Avicii’s fifth anniversary on the island, so if intense beats broken down with EDM anthems is your thing this evening is a must. Hosted at Ushuaia, this party is certain to be talked about long after the summer has ended.

F*** Me I’m Famous Closing Party at Pacha Ibiza (October 6)

David Guetta is one of the few EDM superstars to commercially crossover into pop. Bringing a series of high profile international DJs and celebrities to join him in the DJ booth, F*** Me I’m Famous has the biggest VIP area of all the clubs and is certain to be sold out early.

Cream Ibiza Closing Party Part 2 at Amnesia (September 15)

Cream is the pseudonym for Thursday nights at Amnesia and the closing party plays host to Paul van Dyk and Aly & Fila amongst others. Throw it back to the early 2000s and take in the hedonistic atmosphere that has become a trademark for Thursday nights.
