Insignia loves: G-Rough hotel, Rome

When the fashion set spend time in Rome, the place to be and be seen is the G-Rough hotel, which is a completely unique venue celebrating the ‘rough luxe’ aesthetic of Italian design.

The 5 star G-Rough is the brainchild of Gabriele Salini and Emanuele Garosci — the pair behind Venice’s PalazzinaG Hotel.

Located near Piazza Navona, one of Rome’s famous landmarks, each floor of the 10-suite property (a member of the Design Hotels group) is modelled on a renowned Italian designer from the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s, including Giò Ponti, Ico Parisi, Silvio Cavatorta, Paolo Venini, Guglielmo Ulrich, Osvaldo Borsani and Archimede Seguso.

An ancient yet modern ambience provides a memorable experience to guests staying in unique suites and apartments that are almost like art museums.
