Spotlight: Safrans du Monde Air Cruise 2016

The notion of a “dream holiday” is tossed around so carelessly, it’s lost its lustre. A seven-star tiger safari in India, a visit to Rio during the Olympics (with front-row Athletics tickets) and a water villa in Bora Bora all come to mind. The only disadvantage of these once-in-a-lifetime getaways is the confinement to one place. Safrans du Monde has taken this concept to the next level. As opposed to offering the perfect trip to one location, the luxury travel company is offering a holiday with upward of 20 destinations with a private jet to take you there.

Although Safrans du Monde cannot promise Olympics tickets, as your first stop in Rio post-dates the 2016 Games by several months, every other fantasy trip one can imagine is included in this package. The 22-day itinerary is as follows:

Itinerary

November 19: Board the private jet at Le Bourget just outside of Paris for Rio de Janeiro.

November 20: Explore Rio, its famed Sugarloaf mountain, the Lapa Steps and the Corcovado mountains. Stay at the Belmond Copacabana Palace on the world-renowned Copacabana Beach.

Sugarloaf mountain and Rio’s famed coastline at sunset.

November 21: Leave Rio for Lima or Cusco. Guests can choose which destination they prefer.

November 22: For guests that have selected Lima, they will explore the history of “The King’s City”. It is also quickly becoming a foodie destination, with Peruvian cuisine heralded as one of the more celebrated globally. For guests that choose Cusco, a visit to Machu Picchu and its ancient ruins is on the agenda.

Macchu Pichu’s famed ruins are a UNESCO Heritage Site.

November 23: All guests board the jet and head to Easter Island. The gateway to Polynesia, Easter Island will take you directly from Peru to the island. Enjoy the culture, volcanos and Polynesian legends under a starry sky.

Moai Statues at Easter Island.

November 24: Head to Tahiti and transfer for three days to Bora Bora for some serious time in the sand and sun.

November 27: The next stop after Tahiti/Bora Bora is Auckland, New Zealand.

An aerial view of the Intercontinental Bora Bora where you will be staying for three days.

November 28: Arrive in Auckland and experience the culture of the Maoris, tour the Waterfront and take in the views of Harbour Bridge and Mount Eden.

November 29: Spend the day in Rotorua hiking through the green, lush valleys and Rainbow Springs and return to Auckland for dinner.

The Champagne Pools at Rotorua.

November 30: Fly to Cairns and visit Barron Falls.

December 1: Head to the Great Barrier Reef to enjoy lunch on the azure waters. Scuba dive, snorkel or submarine to get even closer to the marine action.

The Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef, lies in the Coral Sea off northeastern Australia. Near Queensland, Australia

December 2: Head to Hanoi, Vietnam. Once there you will enjoy access to a private boat to sail around Halong Bay. Spend three days in Hanoi exploring the culture, pagodas and gastronomy.

Breathtaking views of Halong Bay.

December 5: Leave for Mandalay in Myanmar. Experience Mayanma culture, Buddhist teachings and famous dishes like khowsuey over the course of two days.

Buddhist temples in Mandalay, Myanmar.

December 7: Leave for Agra. As soon as you arrive visit the Taj Mahal. The evening will bring a traditional Moghole dinner.

Taj Mahal in Agra, one of the seven wonders of the world.

December 8: Board the private jet for Amman and Petra. Explore the grandeur of the city that is sculpted out of solid rock. Spend two days in the ancient city.

The city of Petra carved into the rocks.

December 10: Leave Petra for Amman to experience the sand dunes in a 4×4. Board the plane for Paris for the conclusion of your trip.

You have now experienced a trip around the world, transcending cultures, civilizations and the many wonders of the world. For more information on this package by Safrans du Monde, please contact your Insignia Personal Assistant.
