Based in a former Dominican monastery, the Palace boasts views of Mount Etna, Taormina Bay and the east coast of Sicily. Over time it has attracted famous writers, artists and composers inspired by this unique locale.

The rooms’ décor reflects classic Sicilian style and feature exquisite antique furniture. With several impressive suites boasting views of Taormina Bay, guests will be spoiled for choice. There is even one suite that features a Jacuzzi on its own private terrace. The crown jewel of this property is undoubtedly the Suite Grand Hotel. Decorated in Art Nouveau style, it also features a sprawling terrace with a breathtaking view.

San Domenico Palace is also home to the 2 Michelin-starred restaurant, The Principe Cerami. Led by chef Massimo Mantarro, the cuisine brings a Sicilian touch to haute cuisine. The restaurant’s namesake is the Sicilian nobleman who converted the monastery to a hotel.

The best time of the year to visit the property is between April and October. During this period the picturesque swimming pool will be open. If swimming doesn’t appeal to guests, floodlit tennis is also available nearby. Whatever your pleasure, San Domenico Palace is the last word in luxury.
